The Push was disturbingly interesting. The author made the main characters relatable in their awfulness and realistic in their complexity. The author also did a great job of making the reader take turns, loving and hating the same character at different points in the story. I found the ending very unsatisfying. I’m curious what others think.

When I pick up a good smutty novel, I fully expect there to be a slightly less impressive plot and/ or character development. This novel lived up to those expectations. Both main characters were stereotypical eff’d up and emotionally immature / damaged. Trevor was a major arsehole throughout the novel- complete with excessive control issues. He didn’t know the meaning of asking for consent and was constantly gaslighting Allison. I do not recommend this novel

Mostly enjoyable. A little predictable in the very end. Disliked the complete and utter paranoia and whining of Sadie. All she EVER did was whine, whine, whine, lament, and whine more.
PS the audio book was hard to listen to because the narrators voice sounded super robotic. I most likely would’ve enjoyed this novel more if I had read it vs listening to it.

Slightly hard to follow as the author jumps from subject to subject and tangent to tangent in a frantic manner that only someone with ADHD and mental health issues can. Still enjoyable and highly relatable. Highly recommend to others.
