I enjoyed this one. It took me a little while to get into it because I did feel the first part of the book was a little slower, but once I got into it I really enjoyed. This book had so much heart and was just like a warm hug. The characters were great, the world building was unique and I enjoyed the journey that Coal goes on in this story to become a more confident version of himself.

Absolutely adored this story! Both characters hating Christmas and somehow getting stuck on the town committee to arrange all Christmas activities just started the book out perfectly. This was definitely a grumpy and grumpy love story from the start. I always love how Leonor has characters that are plus size and doesn’t make them insecure or make their body a plot point. The adventures these two went through and the very slow burn paid off! Love love love!

This book was so fun and Amalie always does a great job of the banter and flirting in her books and this one did not disappoint. I also love the strong female characters in this book. This one was super easy to get through because it was just so fun and also steamy. I absolutely adored this book.

This was so well done. I loved the backstory and the progression of this couple. This also just felt very much like a holiday romance. There were elements of the holidays added in but it didn’t feel like too much either. Overall I really enjoyed this one
Merriment and Mayhem by Alexandria Bellefleur

This was a short story but just felt like there was very little build up of the relationship itself and then the spice was so intense at the very end. I would’ve liked to see more build up and a little resolution after the spice

I wanted to like this one more but I did think overall it was enjoyable. I just wanted to feel more invested in the relationship than I did

This was so weird. The obsession with how large the male main character is was very odd to me. I just did not like this

This was a perfect mix of sweetness and spice. Ali’s ability to build an emotional connection between characters even in a short story is so well showcased with this one.

This book was a beautiful story, but also tragic at the same time. This book was truly about love and sacrifice and how the enemy is sometimes not a complete monster. This book emphasizes the humanity in all but also the inhumanity of war. This book is truly such an emotional journey full of deceit and loss. This was beautifully written, but the ending kept me from rating it higher. I know the ending makes sense for this story, but I still just wanted it to end differently.

This book was cute and heartwarming. The time travel was a fun twist also. Overall I enjoyed this one, and it felt like a mix between a sports romance and regency because of the two main characters, which made for a good time. The marriage of convenience trope isn’t one I’ve read a lot of, but I think it worked in this book pretty well. If you’re looking for a lighthearted romance with an independent female character, a golden retriever male character and some time travel thrown in, then this is for you.
