Oh my gosh, I loved this book!! Curtis Sittenfeld gave herself an assignment and she freaking nailed it (her acknowledgments reads like a bibliography!). As a huge SNL fan, I was nervous diving into this one, but it didn’t take long for me to be all in. I laughed out loud several times and swooned just as often. Read it if you’ve ever wanted to spend a week backstage at Studio 8H or if you’re a fan of Rose Matefeo’s glorious show on MAX, Starstruck!

Holy moly did I devour this book. And ‘devour’ really is the word. I read this nearly in one sitting on a Saturday. Kelly Barnhill is an auto-buy author for me in children’s literature and now she has earned her keep on the adult shelves for me as well. I want to gift this mythical beast of a novel to every woman I know.
