4.5 stars. Love the atmospheric writing, the tension and romance, the wonderfully interesting world in this series. Loss of .5 star only because Emilia grates on my nerves occasionally with how oblivious and stubborn she is.
I read book 1 and 2 in two days, I’m ashamed I got nothing done besides these books lol. Great series so far, excited for the finale.

This book pulled me in literally in the first chapter.
It’s a slow burn, marriage of connivence and ulterior motives. Accidental Betrayal. Low grade spice (but well written

Repetitive and slow in a lot of parts. I had to reread a lot of passages as they were very confusing, a lot of new players and prophesies and …. It was a lot in this book so it’s my least favorite of the series.
The relationship with Kieran, Poppy and Casteel though, that saved it for me though.
The joining was my favorite part, and was so tastefully done, I loved it.
I will likely read the next one, but I’m not as excited about this series anymore which I a bummer!
