Unfortunately this is hitting me during a reading slump. I might come back to it.

This was so cute.
I really freaking hate 3rd act breakups and then 2 seconds of them actually being together before the book ends though.

The premise of the second book sounds infuriating so I probably won’t be reading it.

I feel like this book wanted to have more depth than it actually did. While I love the dragons and the interesting creation story, something about this just fell flat for me. I found myself wanting to finish it for the sake of not DNF-ing another book this year.
Perhaps I will continue the series, we’ll see when the time comes.

Cute. Predictable from the first introduction, but enjoyable.

I was not expecting this to enthrall me, but there I was desperate to turn the page to see what would happen.
The magic of the cards, the mists, and the Spirit of the Woods, I ate it up.
I had no idea where the story was going and I still don’t know where it’s going but that makes it more fun.
I can’t say more I need to read book 2 immediately.

This is just too painful to read. I hate insta love/lust so that’s not helping, but I just can’t get myself to keep reading.

This book was ok. I found myself about 70% of the way through thinking “how are there still so many pages left?”
I didn’t really connect with the characters and honestly the plot was pretty weak as well.
I know this is meant to be a series but I’m going to pretend this is a standalone and everything ended happily.

I really did enjoy the story, I was hooked from page 1.
Honestly my only complaint is the constant use of “male” and “female” I found it so distracting. It also, to me, feels derogatory.

This was very sweet, despite some heavy subject matter. I do wish we got to see Chloe and Annie’s friendship develop more though.
