Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro
1.0
The subject matter was promising but the execution was flawed and, ultimately, a bit dull.
Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman by Haruki Murakami
3.0
It's got cats, jazz, mysterious women, and ambiguous endings. It's Murakami. I enjoyed reading it but I'm probably not going to remember 90% of the stories in it in two months time.
Chronicle Of A Death Foretold by Gabriel García Márquez
4.0
Different for Marquez, both in its style and its brevity, but just as well written as his other novels. Quick, beautiful, and tragic.
