It's got cats, jazz, mysterious women, and ambiguous endings. It's Murakami. I enjoyed reading it but I'm probably not going to remember 90% of the stories in it in two months time.

Different for Marquez, both in its style and its brevity, but just as well written as his other novels. Quick, beautiful, and tragic.
