Sucks. Only finished it because I’m reading all the winners of the Hugo for best novel. Never reading anything else by Heinlein again.

Follows the typical Philip K Dick pattern of a book with an intriguing premise and tense plot, then going completely off the rails in the last chapter. Imaginative and deeply weird.

If I could give this book a negative number of stars, I would. It’s pages and pages of unbearably boring descriptions of the main character jacking off about troops and military equipment interspersed with the horrifically fascist philosophy of the society he lives in.  If you have any respect for yourself, skip this one.
