City of Girls by Elizabeth Gilbert
4.0
Glitz, glamour, drama and reminiscing made this book a page turner-I couldn’t put it down! I loved that Vivian was the narrator all along, recalling her life and choices while also commenting on her growth and changes. The characters in Vivian’s story were quirky and charming. It’s not a love story in the normal sense, but a story about learning to love yourself. It’s a great throwback to a time filled with showgirls, wartime heroes and free thinking.
