i love mr darcy and his not do daring attitude. elizabeth is everything he’s not and that’s what makes them so well-matched.

The work "1984" thrilled me. Like On the Western Front, peace immediately drew me into the action because of the fact that at one point, many people's lives looked like this. That's what scared me the most about it all.
Winston is a fascinating character. I really like how Orwell wrote it. Even though he eventually broke, I am fascinated by his intelligence, psychic strength and perseverance. Although it was clear that he would die for his actions, it was very exciting to watch his impossible quest for change unfold.
Three Party slogans appear on the third page: War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is power. I admit it scared me. Thanks to this book, I was reminded again of how lucky I am. Freedom, love and emotions are not a matter of course. Of course, I recommend the book and I'm very glad that I read it. Sometimes I will definitely read it again, because it never hurts to remember what time I live and what time I could have lived if I had been born several decades earlier.
