I really loved how the different timelines connected together. I was doubtful that it would work well but it did. The pacing was a little wonky and the middle of the book was pretty slow and hard to get through.

So was there supposed to be more cause the entire middle section of the book was missing. Like noting actually happened. There was a beginning and an end but no actual action.

It was pretty obvious that all of the “rules” the main character had to follow were just to make the book longer. It dragged on way too long.

The first half was really slow and honestly I was bored. But once the tournament actually started it was super interesting. I fucking hate cliffhanger-endings but it made me want to read the second book.

I thought the story was very eye-opening and was not something I usually read but it was a little like reading a ton of news articles.
