I really want more of Celaena and Chaol. I want them to be together... Is this wrong? Even though he betrayed her in the last book, I was hoping that she would somehow bring herself to forgive him. This book hurt my feelings when the king kills all the slaves. Oh and then the orchestra plays. I was lucky not to be sobbing in the corner. I can't wait to see what Celaena does next.

First time reading anything by this author. I liked it. I felt some parts were a little rushed. I'm anxious o see what else the series has to offer.

Not what I expected - in a good way

I thought this book was going to be more similar to Alice in Wonderland. I had put off reading it for that fact alone. I am glad I changed my mind. This book was amazing. I enjoyed the plot and the characters. I'm looking forward to the second part of Ali's story.

I loved this book! The southern charmer Asa really is a redeemable character. His and Royal's story is one not to miss. Jay does a terrific job of taking this former criminal and turning him into such a likeable character. I also love the way Jay wraps up the end of the series. I'm going to miss these Marked Men.
