This story was so disjointed and oftentimes so confusing I feel like bits were just missing. The characters were all so flat and uninteresting. It’s hard to say what this story was trying to be. And then it just ended. This was supremely unsatisfying.

I enjoyed this. The mystery was interesting, the relationship was hot, and the ambience was beautifully creepy. I thought the idea of her just fitting into school and doing well was a little unbelievable. Also there were characters and storylines that were not necessary and just added more pages to the story. I felt this had some pacing and consistency issues and for a book that is almost 700 pages, this caused some definite slow and boring bits. But overall, I enjoyed this, it was a fun ride.
