This. I’m was kind of boring. I love Nalini, but this one wasn’t really any new information. It was really hard for me to get through.

It’s definitely slower, but everything feels believable with the pace. The relationships take natural courses. Very, very slow burn. The book sets itself to be very action packed moving forward. The characters are amazing, the world is beautifully complex. The only thing that keeps me from giving it five stars is that sometimes is definitely slow, it feels like things are happening but nothing is moving.

I found the FMC really annoying. She made tons of childish and kind of mean choices and blamed it all on pregnancy m. And then we were just kind of supposed to forgive her. The whole book was basically him trying to figure things out and her being manipulative and causing problems because things weren’t going her way at her speed.
