maybe i’ll come back to this at some point but i doubt it… i really wanted to love this but the dialogue feels clunky and there’s too much info dumping for my tastes. i don’t feel like i can be fully immersed in the story. plus the “meet-cute” gave me the ick

me personally? i’d call the police if a random man said that to me, no matter how attractive he is

this was a cute book!! i loved anna’s character–she’s strong, determined, and selfless. she deserves someone who loves her as hard as brody does. 

this book felt a bit long and dragged in some parts. i will attempt to read the rest of the series, but they only get longer which is a turn off. the authors writing style is right up my alley though so maybe i’ll be pleasantly surprised??

ok so maybe i’m a mafia romance girlie now because this was so good !!! i love how enzo supports lucia, while still doing all he can to protect her. and lucia is literally so bad im obsessed lol

there were a few spots where i got pretty confused like

when it was revealed they’d actually had the whole arranged marriage thing planned months before?

and

whatever happened with brandon? i still don’t really know

so i had to reread some parts a few times; but i don’t mind too much because i had SO much fun reading this

brittainy cherry does it again!!! i love me a second chance romance🥹 nathan was so patient with avery, it made my heart burst… avery was so scared to be vulnerable and (as a fellow eldest daughter) i felt SEEN. i love that she got the happily ever after that she so obviously deserves. 

i think it felt a bit long & repetitive for me so i didn’t like this one quite as much as the first, but i still really enjoyed reading it!!

oh my god this was the best slow burn i’ve ever read. yara is sunshine, personified. alex is a late autumn thunderstorm. they’re perfect together.

i wasn’t expecting to feel so much reading this book. it touches on grief, growth, family, and loving after loss. i can not recommend this book enough.

i absolutely adored this book. chase wouldn’t give up on kayla, but not in a creepy way? in a “i was destined to love you but respect your space” way. they made each other brave. they made each other vulnerable. it’s everything i love in a romance novel. 

there was the perfect amount of drama and although i did predict a few plot points,  it definitely did not take away from the story.

was SO CUTE. this book did teach me that i don’t really like billionaire romances anymore (probably because i’m dead broke), but i still enjoyed myself while reading it. 

also, as a fellow mixed girl, sloan made me feel seen <3 it’s hard feeling like you don’t really belong in either community, and seeing sloan embrace her culture even if she felt like an imposter was cathartic for me
