To be completely honest, when I first started, I was about 20% in and so confused. I had no idea what was going to happen, let alone what was happening, but that made me want to continue out of curiosity. I also read a lot of 5 star reviews which was another reason why I did not stop reading. I was so intrigued to know all about "someone" because he was quite the mystery, to say the least.

The story starts with "someone" and his father moving to a new town. The boy was facing mental health issues so he met with a counselor, Kevin, who helped him calm his anxiety and adjust to his new life by trying new things such as jogging, writing, finding a job... He even managed to make some friends in school who seemed to have problems of their own. Everything was finally coming together for him. But when you read on, you'll find that there are a lot of twists towards the end, which I personally did not expect, but they did make a lot of sense. And the fact that the protagonist was just referred to as "someone" was very interesting and unique.

The author shed the light on so many important topics such as anxiety, friendships, loss, family, life... and so on. The chapters were so short and I just wanted to keep reading to find out more. The story line was very relatable and realistic for it could happen to anybody and has definitely already happened to many people before. It's a really fast paced story and the writing style is very easy to understand. I was not used to this style before which I think was one of the reasons why I was still confused at the beginning of the book.

What I learned:
•NEVER judge a book by its cover.
•NEVER give up on yourself.
•Everyone has their own demons and battles to fight.
•Your friends can make a lot of difference in your life.
•Loss is something that cannot be controlled so we should use it to make ourselves stronger.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this book!
