Ein richtiger Wohlfühlmanga mit ganz viel Herz. Anders kann ich es nicht beschreiben. Colette ist so eine gute Seele, die in jeglicher Situation ihr bestes gibt und auch das Beste für alle ihr nahstehenden Personen will. Ihre Beziehung zu Hades und den Gestalten der Unterwelt vertieft sich, man trifft neue Gesichter unter und über der Erde, und Colette ist immer mit von der Partie. Auch Hades scheint sich ein wenig zu ändern, und ich freue mich schon darauf, wie sich ihre Beziehung noch ändern mag. Toller Band mit schönen Messages.

Dieser Band war einfach purer Zucker und hat mein Herz erwärmt. Die Freundschaft zwischen den Sechs wurde durch ihren gemeinsamen Ausflug nochmal vertieft und auch Subaru ist erneut aus sich herausgekommen. Zwischen Rintaro und Kaoruko ist auch so einiges passiert, nicht nur an ihrem Geburtstag, sondern auch am Strand. Bin stolz auf Rin, dass er sich ein Herz gefasst hat und den ersten Schritt gegangen ist. Bin jetzt super gespannt, wie es im nächstes Band weiter geht! Eine süße, unproblematische Reihe. 

Well, shit. That’s my thought the moment I finished this book. I enjoyed it, definitely. Read this tome in a couple of days, so that is unarguable. However, it - like the first one - wasn’t without faults or problems. Needed it editing? Definitely. Were things made a bit too dramatic and also went on far too long without a conclusion? Yes. Is everything based on logic? Nope. But did I enjoy it? Yep. There was so much going on in this novel, that I couldn’t keep up at points, and it also felt like it tried to do many things at once - sometimes successfully, other times not. But did Violet, Xaden, and all the characters I came to like in the first book grow and evolve, did they decide on what to fight for? Yes. The writing style, though not perfect, is still catchy and immerses you into the story. And I definitely am hooked for what is to come in Onxy Storm. It seems like I am in the minority with feeling that this novel did not tank the story like most people thought it did. Maybe, because I knew going in that people felt disappointed in it, felt like it was not as good as the first, so I had moderate expectations. But I still don’t think it’s the worst book ever written and it definitely gave the overall story a huge push forward. More, spoilery and very raw, thoughts on both parts are following, so beware of it.
Part 1
Was it fucking annoying that Violet was so stuck up as to understand Xaden? Yes. Was this whole thing with the adults turning against her and the people from Resson bewildering? Yes. Could they have cut down Violet still thinking about Xaden and wanting him, but then denying everything, a hundred times? Also yes. But even though Part one was a fever dream, I don’t believe it to have been a bad one. We got a lot of info, the camps have been set, we know everyone’s current allegiance, and Violet pretty much became an even stronger person. The reincarnation (?) of Jack was bullocks however, and Nolon turning on her was also very dramatic. There was some gore, still don’t know if we can trust everyone who went with them, but that’s the fun of it. Love Violet’s friendship with her squad mates though, and also that Liam is still with her, in her heart and mind.
Part 2 
I don’t have anything against Xaden’s possessiveness, but for him to tell Dain in Book 1 to not coddle Violet or treat her like a child, he surely is a bit overprotective at some points in this one too. Sure, nothing on Dain, but still. Glad she told him exactly that though. Bringing in a second woman who has a past with Xaden and still wants him (for dumb reason but nonetheless) is also not my cup of tea. A very overused trope and something this story had no need for to move forward. I like the alliance between fliers and riders, but Tecarus definitely is sus, especially as the wielders don’t seem to want to take his city - which is just weird. Xaden does gaslight Violet a bit with waiting for her questions to give her answers or insights about him. Not cool, but at least they still work through it and discuss it. There definitely are not exactly plotholes, but sometimes the story wasn’t as coherent and could have used some editing. Still, I was enjoying it and was really gripped by it. I also like that the friendships become stronger with all the hurdles they have to go through. The alliances, their fighting spirit and their bond in the squad as well as between Violet and Xaden (even if they have their problems) are very honorable and pure, full of trust and love. Their decision to help is also commendable and they did succeed. The cost was huge, in more ways than one. The end is a huge “eff me”, the plottwist thickening and I have no idea what will happen now, if this is fixable or a doomed. Yes, it is a bit farfetched in my opinion for Xaden of all people to act like this, to think this, but I guess it is to drive the plot for three more books. Whether I like it (or find it logical) or not, is out of the question. 

Wieder ein wirklich schöner Band. Saki erfährt von Ayano mehr über Kanon und ihre Vergangenheit und zieht daraus für sich neue Schlüsse. Nun stehen die beiden nämlich vor einer neuen Hürde: dem Chorsingen der Klasse. Kanon sucht gleichzeitig nach einem neuen Traum oder Ziel, dass sie nun verfolgen kann. Ihre Freundschaft vertieft sich und sie finden gemeinsam neue Wege. Was es mit Tomita auf sich hat, interessiert mich sehr. Habe auch meine Vermutungen, warum sie fehlt, aber vielleicht erfahren wir mehr im nächsten Band. Das einzige, was ich nicht gut finde, hat nichts mit der Geschichte zu tun. Aber warum hat Egmont diese Reihe - und das so ziemlich als einzige im ganzen Programm - einfach nen Euro teurer gemacht ab diesem Jahr? Sasaki & Miyano zB nicht, und die Bände sind genauso dünn wie diese Reihe …

Ein wirklich toller Start! Habe Colette, Hades und die anderen Figuren sofort ins Herz geschlossen und mir gab die ganze Geschichte ein cozy Gefühl. Es gab auch bereits ein paar „Lektionen“ (wenn man sie so nennen will), die trotz des fantastischen Faktors wie Slice-of-Life rüberkommen. Es gibt Momente, die einen wirklich zum nachdenken anregen, und im nächsten lacht man wieder. Ich glaube, diese Reihe könnte zu einem Favoriten werden für mich. Die Bonusstory am Ende fand ich jetzt eher so semi, aber es geht ja vor allem um die Hauptstory :) Freue mich schon weiterzulesen. 

Dieser Band war super spannend. Es gab einige neue Gesichter, neue Intrigen und Maomao ist erneut mitten drin. Das am kaiserlichen Hof es oft durch Neid bedingt nicht mit rechten Dingen zugeht, kann man gar nicht leugnen. Manchmal ist es dann aber doch schockierend, wenn man die Wahrheit erfährt. Mir scheint, dass wir im nächsten Band mehr über Jinshi erfahren werden, was mich sehr neugierig macht. Mal sehen, wie Maomao das neue Rätsel lösen wird. 

Ich weiß nicht so ganz, wie ich den Band halten soll. Hatte ja schon mit ein paar Sachen im dritten Band gehadert. Dieser Abschlussband hat sehr gut angefangen, und bis zum letzten Kapitel fand ich ihn auch echt gut und spannend. Was jedoch im letzten Kapitel plötzlich rauskam und wie schnell an Ende alles gelöst wurde, ohne dass man es wirklich erlebt hat als Leser, fand ich leider suboptimal … Der Zeichenstil ist klasse und auch die Fantasiewelt ist eine richtige coole Idee. Würde die Reihe trotzdem empfehlen, nur man muss sich auf ein paar Ungenauigkeiten, Sprünge und etwas komische Plottwists einstellen. Dafür dass es aber eine kurze Fantasy-Reihe ist, gab es sehr viel Worldbuilding. Mir hat es auf jeden Fall trotz der Mankos Spaß gemacht. :)

Schöner Band mit sehe interessante Fällen. Maomaos Schlussfolgerungen sind wirklich sehr gut, auch wenn sie sich zurückhält, da einiges Spekulation ist. Auch, dass sie wegen der Schwangerschaft der Gemahlin so super vorsichtig ist, finde ich gut. Und die nächste Aufgabe steht auch schon im Raum. Wenig Maomao-Jinshi-Momente in diesem Band leider, das einzige Manko :D

Ein wirklich schöner, hoffnungsvoller Abschluss für dieses tiefgehende Reihe. Mia und Adam finden beide ihren Weg und verfolgen ihre Ziele.  Vor allem Mia hat zu sich selbst gefunden, ist mit sich selbst zufrieden und scheut sich nicht mehr, ganz sie selbst zu sein. Auch Adam kommt aus sich heraus, auch mit Mias Hilfe, und bekommt neue Möglichkeiten. Diese Reihe hat mir wirklich sehr gut gefallen. Durch ihren schlichten und gleichzeitig tiefgehenden Erzählstil, der die flüchtigsten Momente detailliert darstellt, und in die Figuren reinhorcht, kam Mia und Adams Geschichte super rüber. Alle Themen wurden mit viel Feingefühl thematisiert und versprühen Hoffnung. Kann ich durchaus empfehlen!

Ich muss sagen, Gaku ist schon ein spezieller Kerl. Lieb, aber auch einfach in seiner Art etwas weird. Dieser Band schien mir mehr so ein Aufbauband gewesen zu sein. Immer noch gut, man hat die Figuren etwas besser kennengelernt und es gab auch Entwicklungen und Neues. Jedoch wurde der erste wirkliche Konflikt nun angeteasert, und auch wenn ich kein Fan von Love Triangles bin, bin ich doch gespannt, wie sich Rihito verhält. Finde es ein wenig Schade, dass das Design/Kunst-Setting ein wenig untergegangen ist, hoffe aber, dass es wieder mehr Platz findet. Freue mich durchaus auf Band 3 :)
