read for distraction but the style was too cognitively difficult for that.
race stuff was 🤢, and i genuinely thought maybe it was going somewhere right up untiltheir boss started revealing he had been withholding information? randomly? and i kept hoping it was a game or a test or something bc even though that would be boring it would make sense . i thought the epistolary style was really cool, and the audiobook really well narrated so it really made me sad when it all unraveled :/

didn’t care for the disability narrative it felt very hallmark and like the author is not disabled themselves nor do they know anyone who is.

i realized i had dissociated through the majority of it and had no idea what was happening. not sure what about it kept triggering me but not too bothered about analyzing it. this book just wasn’t for me and that’s fine.
