  • Loveable characters? No

2.0

While I enjoyed Cossery's writing style and some of the ideas in this book I found it incredibly misogynistic and that pretty much ruined the book for me. Pretty much every woman and girl is described as a sex object besides one old woman. If the story could have treated women and girls like real people and kept the same revolutionary storyline and writing style I think it could've been a 4 star book but the way it is I have to give it 2.
