This book had so much promise. Being a student in the healthcare field (pharmacy), I was beyond excited to read this. But I REALLY can't get behind the use of footnotes. I think it's one thing to have footnotes to explain medical jargon or industry specific tests (the footnotes about the Step exams were helpful), but every other footnote was annoying. It's hard to get wrapped up in a story while you're constantly searching at the bottom of the page to read a footnote, most of which could've been added into the story naturally or been added in parenthesis.
Using so many footnotes about fictional and non-fictional topics made it hard to determine whether or not the footnotes are additions from the protagonist or about the author herself.
I can't see myself stopping what I'm doing to read this book, but I may revisit it as an audiobook one day.

Early on I knew this book would be incredible, and I was not disappointed. Solange and Dean were such lovable characters with amazing chemistry! This book improved upon areas of The Worst Best Man that wasn't the biggest fan of. So very funny, romantic, and heartwarming! Some parts were cringe but given the background of the characters (*cough* Dean Chapman *cough*) it totally made sense and did not feel too out of place.
I was not expecting to get choked up at the end, but I did! I will definitely revisit this book in the future.

This was such a fun read and a great way to start off my reading challenge!
Giving 4 stars because while it was fun, I didn't feel a real connection between the leads until the latter half of the book. Both characters were interesting alone, but it took some time to find their groove together. Still super loved it! I can see myself revisiting this book sometime in the future or listening to the audiobook during a long drive.
