This one fell a bit too close for home for me in a way. (I grew up in a hoarded house- not something I often discuss.) It made me feel quite uncomfortably sad to the point where it took me at least a month to finish as I just had to keep putting it down. I also wish there was some more explanation for the ending with the revelation of Rhys trying to kiss his Mum (what was that about??) I dunno, overall I just found the book really dragged and made me feel sad, so understandably I haven't rated it very highly. Sorry Lisa Jewell!

I liked the premise of this book, I thought it was quite clever and "outside the box". I was however sad that the story ended without ever finding out what happened to Rufus. I know he will die, but I don't like the whole leaving it to your imagination thing!

I'm not entirely sure what this was I just know it isn't what I was expecting! A try at comedy perhaps? Very very strange!

I'm not entirely sure what this book was about and I've just finished it! Maybe the strangest book I've read yet. It felt like I was reading a soap opera but without really a course for the episode to go on. I thought the whole story would be about Gervase but in reality he wasn't really in it that much, just a bit of an odd background character. There was also no clear explanation as to why Gervase was there or how Bernie had got to inviting him in! I like how Lisa Jewell can write characters & families so well- you feel as though you know them yourself. I just thought this book fell flat for me.

Not one of Jewells bests, but still an alright story. I like how Owen got a happy ending despite the odds being against him.

I found this a disappointing read. I love every FMc book I've read but this one just seemed an unnecessary sequel. I know you're supposed to hate Suzette but I found her character so annoying that I often put the book down. There was no big shocking twist moment for me either.

I really enjoyed this book! It kept me interested all the way through and that twist right at the end with Jay was brilliant!! Didn't see that coming at all!

It took me a while to get into this, there were times I felt that the story was so slow that it had almost completely stopped but then it picked up from around the half way point. With that being said, I loved the later twists and the final outcome.

A detail I can't ignore since reading this is that I started sleep walking again for the first time in years since reading this. This is probably a huge coincidence, but I can't ignore that this could be the cause of this habit reawakening!

Also I can't read the title without reading it to the tune of All the small things- Blink 182 😂
