I was SO excited to read this, and now I feel quite disappointed 😞 I was honestly expecting much more witchcraft! The book could've easily been a lot shorter- there was a lot of "filling" like maybe a word count needed to be higher than it originally was. I liked the ending with the fast forward but all in all- I wasn't a big fan and don't understand all the 5* reviews!

It was nice for Ana Huang to have changed her format a little so this time they're a couple who have been married, divorce and then reconcile. It would have got a higher rating for me if she didn't then fall back into old habits at the end- not every soppy romance story has to end with marriage and babies! It felt really predictable!

I mean, it was okay. I feel I've read too many Ana Huang books in a row now to see the similarities. The story & characters are almost identical in each one and this time when they hit their "we have to break up so we can get back together" scene there wasn't even a reason for it. There was no big falling out, she just broke up with him 'just because'. I dunno, it wasn't her best.

A good short story by the end! I did find it became very repetitive following a pattern of ~something weird happening, accusing Serena, doubting herself, apologising~ but the twists at the end made up for that!

Not my favourite of Ana Huangs, I felt I couldn't warm to the characters and their relationship progression was just farfetched. They went from hating eachother to fucking within like 3 pages, it felt ridiculous 😂

A pretty good prequel though predictable as most of the story is already known from book 2. Made me feel more sorry for Jake having heard more backstory!

It was a good ending to wrap up the series, but honestly felt it lacking story wise in parts. A lot of the content was rehashed from the previous books. That being said, it was still good!

What a book!! Been so long since I've read one I couldn't put down like this! I love how well Jacksons character is written and the story is just so clever and well written. 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟!
