This was really cute and meaningful and I love the color palette throughout. I’d read another book about these two for sure.

Lovely concept lacking in full execution. This would have been a great short story or full-length novel, but as a novella it doesn’t fully hit the mark. Jiang is a beautiful writer, though, and I’m excited to read more of her work in the future.

This was the best of them all… but it was still so disjointed. The point about homophobia was really poignant though.

Moving and heartbreaking and a must-read for everyone. The only reason this wasn’t 5 stars is because the publication quality of the supplemental interviews was poor. It needed another pass through with edits.

This series is so bad and is (in my opinion) not appropriate for the age range it says it is - “older teen.” 🫠
