I didn't love this as much as I wanted to. It would be a fun book for kids studying the orchestra though.

I really liked the story and the historical setting. Interesting to learn about silk making and Richard III. The book has lots of editing problems though. I thought it was me at first, but they definitly missed some typos. There is also one small incident that happens twice - a couple of chapters apart. So I guess you could say it was enjoyable but annoying.

Picked this based on Melissa's review. It sure get me occupied during the April snowstorm. The small town was a little too small and did one "normal" person live there? Doesn't matter - I enjoyed it anyway.

a friend described the plot as "they are happy, they have sex, they are happy, they have sex then Elizabeth gets scared by a turkey." Despite her warnings, I tried the first few chapters and the gave up.

This was lots of fun to read. A very skilled person could have a great time with this as a read aloud, but the rhymes are difficult (but always terrific) tongue twisters.
