This was a really hard read but also a really great one.
It was heart breaking and disturbing yet also gripping. Once I really got into I did not want to put it down, as much as it was hearting my soul. I found certain parts really relatable to the point that it's left a kind of weight in my chest and emotions.
This one definitely comes with a very strong trigger warning for abuse.

This is this first fantasy romance I've read in a long while and I really enjoyed it.
The writing style and pacing sometimes felt a little bit off which is really my only big complaint. If you're after a vampire romance with a bad ass female lead, a handsome but haunted love interest and stunning dresses give King of Battle and Blood a try! I'll definitely be picking up the sequel (when it's released) and trying out some of St. Clair's other works.

This is a stunning memoir.
Told in beautiful honesty Dave Grohl invites us into some of the most gorgeous and devastating parts of his life. From childhood, to his days in Nirvana, and becoming a father, The Storyteller is a book that all music lovers will enjoy.
The love that Grohl displays for all those around him is outstanding and my favourite focus of this book. Hearing him gush about his 3 amazing daughters and all the ways he is thankful for his mother's constant support will show you a whole other side to him that not everyone may be aware of.
I have personally admired Dave Grohl since high school and this collection of life experiences has done nothing but solidify that admiration.
I highly recommend picking this up in audio book form, as the narration and added soundtrack brings a whole new level to the experience that is Dave Grohl's utterly incredible life.
