Snooze fest… also read some more reviews and content warnings and was like ugh I don’t want to get into a rom com where they try to address r@pe but do it weirdly

Wow. This is a book to read slowly and savour. Certainly a slow paced read and not always easy but so rewarding and beautifully written.

I loved this so far and the writing but I have other fiction im more interested in reading right now. I think my brain doesn't have the capacity to do two non fiction books at once so I'm going to come back to this later

I loved so much about this but generally struggled with the writing. The themes, imagery, characterization, etc. were so good… like I see the vision and I love the vision. But something about the style made it a struggle to get through. I felt that the writing was a bit boring and not as poetic as what I had expected considering the author is a poet first, novelist second. Still very good just not that engaging to me. I liked the different perspectives a lot though.

Ummmm. I was super hooked for the first like 40% of the book but the pacing for the last bit was off… too rushed. Also so weird. I like horror and at times I enjoyed a lot but sometimes it was just too much. Also I don’t love 1st person POV normally but this was okay. Not going to sleep well tonight that’s for sure… this was a FREAKY book.

I liked the first book but this one is just so drawn out and the couple is just sort of meh. Also tmi but there’s this scene where she (orgasms) from literally nothing and I was like okay this is where I stop reading
