Flora and the Flamingo by Molly Idle
3.0
Wordless book about a girl and a flamingo doing ballet. It's a lift the flap in some places to see the ballet movements, but the changes were so subtle I didn't really see the need for the flaps, and since I work in a library I'm 100% sure this book is going to find it's way to our mends shelf very soon.
Carnivores by Aaron Reynolds

I would read this to kids who already have a grasp on the food chain and what it means to be a predator and a carnivore. While I thought it was hilarious, I'm 25. I can see a kid being a little traumatized when the wolf eats all the bunnies, for example. But it is a good reminder book that we all have a purpose and traits that we can't deny, but that doesn't make us bad, it just makes us who we are.

It's rare that I wrote down a quote from a book but I've been sending quotes from this book to all my friends.
"You will never be able to escape from your heart. So it's better to listen to what it has to say. That way, you'll never have to fear an unanticipated blow." -page 129

And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie

This book reminded me of the movie "Devil" that came out a few years ago about the group that is stuck in the elevator and start dying one by one. There was no element of possession in this book though.
Really good mystery. I couldn't put it down. It creeped me out too and I had trouble going to sleep while I was reading it. Highly recommended
