Beautiful. Simply beautiful. The ending destroyed me :,)

I was honestly expecting Sam to magically come back to life or a plot twist explaining that maybe he never really died or something, and I won't lie, I was kinda disappointed when he just stayed dead and Julie had to move on, but it's actually also a good way to end the book because Julie learns to move on and say good-bye, knowing she won't have a second chance with Sam, not in the way she wants.

I loved, loved, loved this book so much. I was a little skeptical of it at first because I didn't think anything could make me feel sympathy for Snow, but this book really did. Every reference to the Hunger Games trilogy made me scream internally at how far back some of this stuff went.

Like the Hanging Tree song.

10 out of 10. Definitely gonna reread this sometimes in the future. The movie better be good, too.

I got a HUGE craving for cake reading this book for obvious reasons. Abby has good taste; strawberry shortcake is amazing and black licorice sucks (apologies to anyone who enjoys black licorice).

I thought I had bad eyesight. Peppermint Patty takes it to a whole other level, though. Can't blame Hansel and Gretel for switching places with Abby and Jonah, but it still wasn't okay.

I don't care what nutrients vegetables have, I will hate everything except for potatoes, carrots, and lettuce.
