I loved this! The first 30% of the book felt a bit overwhelming with how many characters/pov’s were introduced, but I got into the swing of it soon after. The author does a great job with the setting and atmosphere.

I’m not sure if this is marketed as more of a thriller or mystery, but to me, it definitely feels more like a mystery, which I love.

Such a great book. The author did an excellent job in not only educating the reader, but entertaining them too.

I enjoy Greek mythology, and this was so refreshing to focus on the women from the myths/stories.

It was fine, but nothing special. I thought I’d enjoy it more. The pacing needs work, and everything fell flat, including the characters.

If this isn’t already considered a modern classic, it should be.

This was fascinating. The author did a great job with the research. I wasn’t expecting a nonfiction book to ever feel this fast paced. The story is crazy. I’d also highly recommend the audiobook, it’s one of my favorite narrators.

I liked the story, but I wish it was longer, like a novella rather than a short story. Regardless, the world was still magical and whimsical. Reading this gave me this sense of nostalgia. It reminded me of when my mom would read stories to me as a kid.

I know a lot of people had to read this book for high school English. It wasn’t in my curriculum. I’m so glad I finally read it! The book is only 300 pages, but you get a great sense of the characters and their struggles, emotions, etc. Definitely recommend.

I haven’t had much time to read lately and was looking for something shorter while also being cozy and nostalgic. This was the perfect book for that!
