Lol it was something but definitely not good. Cute quotes from time to time tho. The end was basically what ruined it the most for me and I knew already before starting the book that it was a miscommunication trope which I truly hate with my whole chest so I was trying to keep it in mind while reading it.

Do you know how to get in touch in the Rebecca’s legal team?  My lawyer would like a word with them about the ongoing lawsuit for damages we’re pursuing against this book. 😭

I’ll revisit this review later maybe, because there is some inconsistencies around the world building and plot that is just bad writing/editing and now I’m too emotional to think clearly. :(

Several people said this was enemies to lovers? It was more like a slow burn insta-love. I can’t believe I wasted my time reading this, the whole insta-love thing gives me the ick personally so I try to avoid books with that trope. I’m sure I would have liked this if it wasn’t because of this.

It could be easily the best book I’ve ever read in my entire life.

It’s like if Manon Blackbeak from Throne of Glass went to Hogwarts, but the whole book is like the Goblet of Fire.

When I thought things couldn’t get worse they did, my heart had too many jump scares but it was worth it. Fourth Wing had so much of the things I loved from other fantasy books, it felt like all of I wanted in a book was in this one, like if Rebecca Yarros knew the desires of my heart and tailored a book just for me. :’)

Loved to see EDS girlies represented as strong characters.

I cannot wait for November 7th.

Something about this book is that or you love it or you hate it. It really hits on self-destructive depressive womanhood perfectly.

HATE miscommunication trope so much but I love Ali Hazelwood so much! At the beginning I’m not going to lie, it was a solid two for me but we’re talking about our goddess Ali Hazelwood here so I just knew it would pick up and thankfully around page 200 it was. Her writing style is definitely unique, it always truly embodies what working in STEM as woman feels like; for example, the job hunting situation hit too close to home and felt like heaven sent as personally I’ve been having a rough week professionally. Elsie’s character was representative indeed and I adored her. I didn’t enjoy much Jack’a personality as sometime he came a little too patronizing, the book does mention it at some point but overall as usual, a pleasure to read anything from Ali Hazelwood.

P.D.: awesome work on the academia behind this book. 💕 Also, THE cameo. 😩🫶
