Most of the book is about perfume-making, which for me was tiring. All the real action happens near the end.

The previous (chronologically) books were very easy to read. I mean, I couldn't stop reading, literally. This one, I felt a little dragging in the plot? Maybe because I didn't like some of the things that our protagonists found along the way.

I'm not really entitled to review this book since I only read the ending. If you stumbled upon my reviews on the previous books, you know I like the world the writer created, but I hate reading the perspective of a character I don't like.

First-person narrative may be easy for some to write, since it's very personal, but it's tricky. From the reader point of view, if you don't like the narrator it's really hard to follow the book, even if you like the plot.

I was so frustrated with Alina on the previous book that I went straight to the ending (only to be further frustrated), because I couldn't spend any more hours getting all bothered and cursing a fictional character.
