Great story! I appreciated the look at the Soviet view of WWII. The descriptions of the cost to them was very well integrated into a riveting story. The narration in the audio version was superb. There are author's notes at the end to let us know the facts in the story and it is very much based on the true story.

This is a couple of tender stories in the life of Maggie. I love the rich descriptions and dialog. I listened to the audio version with two narrators. They do a superb job.

Elizabeth Berg narrated the edition I read. Her version of the story of Mary and Joseph put together material from the various versions in the Bible along with material from traditions about their ancestry. I liked the realism of the human emotions involved. This book has added to the story that I already had. Berg made it an enjoyable story filling in gaps and providing an unknown ending.

An amazing, mysterious story! I was riveted. There are financial details in it that I did not understand, but that doesn't matter for understanding the story. In our day of AI, this was all the more interesting.

This is a wonderful, heart-warming story about love and kindness. Arthur has hardship in his young life, but he's remains kind. The author narrates the story with the emotion that must come from going through the process of writing such a beautiful tale.

Seems like an excellent, practical book about the meaning of the Sermon on the Mount. The author shows how the Sermon lays out what Jesus teaches and shows in his own life. There are experiments we can do in order to find out by experience if what Jesus gives us as a way to a blessed life actually is the truth. This is not a simplistic book. I found it easy to understand, but maybe not as easy to practice. The reason being that I am set in my ways like most folks. But the book assure that we can take steps and most of all, that we are loved just exactly where we are.
