A really sweet story that develops the premise from the first novel into a neat duology. The big plot twist is quite easy to spot ahead of time, and the resolution was much more swift than expected, but I really enjoyed reading it.

These two really needed the time to work on themselves before they were able to come back to each other. One of the few second chance romances I’ve enjoyed and support, right person wrong time.

The closest second to Book Lovers. Absolutely loved the cast and the setting. Both main characters were damaged in some way from their exes breaking up with them and getting together themselves. It was such a fun premise of fake dating, originally to make their exes jealous and then it became a slow burn roommates/friends-to-lovers.

Great representation for the south Asian characters as well as the Jamaican characters. I thought Anya was the most fiery character, well outside of what would have been appropriate for the time period. This book gave me enemies-to-lovers vibes but also grumpy/sunshine. The inheritance was a fun plot device and there were so many twists I didn’t see coming. One of the best historical romances I’ve read that focuses on a lot more than just the romance aspect. Loved the wider cast, the author did a great job at really fleshing out everyone’s personality.
