The miscommunication was too much for me. Felt like the author leaned too far into tropes like grumpy vs sunshine, small town and the pining without being able to develop the characters fully.

Really cosy fantasy romance! I loved the small town (island) vibes and the whole community. Everyone was definitely better off than they were at the start!

Olivia was a perpetually wound up, frustrated, overwhelmed and defensive person. She needed the trip organised by her sister to help her detach from London corporate life but it ends up being the people who she meets along the way who change her perspective the most. I think there are a lot of wonderful takeaways and the message itself is lovely but I didn’t enjoy the personalities of the characters.
