The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater
5.0
Definitely an amazing final installment in The Raven Cycle series! A little bit of disappointment crept in at the end of the book, but I think this series (mostly the last 2 books) deserve 5/5 stars from me!
Let’s start with the bad things first, because I definitely need to get those off my chest. I feel like this series could’ve been a dualogy/trilogy. There was no need to drag this story out to 4 books because my main thought throughout the last 2 books was ”are they ever going to find that damn king or what?”
On the other hand, the love aspects in this book where ON POINT! I definitely love books that explore different sexualities, and finding out about Adam and Ronan was definitely one of my favorite aspects of the book! The Gansey x Blue part got me a little bit ??? though, but I’ll talk about that later in the spoilery part.
And of course, let’s not forget this A-MA-ZING cover! I’ll definitely use this book in bookshoots here and there

I had to read this book for school and I must say, most literary books I 'have' to read are usually not that enjoyable, but I did enjoy reading this one! I loved the mistery and weird connection with the author!
If you have to read a literary book for school, I'd certainly recommend this one!
3/5 stars though since it's not my genre so I did have to push myself to continue reading and the huge descriptions of surroundings, ways the main character walks etc were just too much for me.

I'm speechless. This book is so well written and it finally engulfed me! Especially the ending, Ronan is a character I've never experienced, but he's definitely my favorite, together with Noah!
Maggie's writing is so magnificent, the characters are so different and well thought out! This series is definitely something I've never read before. The story is a little bit slow in my opinion, but the ending in this book made it right, again.
4/5 stars, loved the ending but once again the beginning didn't grab my attention, as it also didn't do so in the first book. Writing is amazing and really detailed! Still not ready to put it on my favorites list, but if Blue Lily, Lily Blue has an ending as amazing as this book (and a good beginning as well ;) ), I will put it on my favorites list!

I binge read this one yesterday and finished it this morning and wow, another amazing read that I will definitely add to my favorites list! I don't have money to buy the third book right now, so I'm almost in tears due to the ending of this one, WHAT A CLIFFHANGER! :(
Can an ending be a bigger cliffhanger than this??
This is another book in which I didn't mind a love triangle because I loved both boys equally :( Lia should end up with Rafe no matter what, but Kaden deserves her too... He sacrificed so much for her for the cost of...her freedom? Is he even alive? I don't knowwww ;-;
Spoiler
No one would pry her from my arms again.
We already had three steps behind us.
''Hold on, Lia.'' I whispered.
Hold on for me.

5/5 stars because YES! This is what I'm looking for in a book!
I was captivated by the story since page 1 and couldn't put the book down! I loved the summary of the book to begin with, but I'm definitely happy I started reading this series because it's so good!
I was a bit annoyed at a certain time with the two male characters I'm not going to name because spoilers lmao. I hated not being able to know who was who, but that definitely paid off at the middle/ending of the book! At the same time, I loved that aspect of the book too. I've never read a book where you didn't know which character was which, so that definitely was a nice thing to read about!
The cover is amazingly beautiful too and I definitely recommend this book to read! :)

This one, I'm not too sure about. It took me SO long to get into and I was at the verge of giving up on it. I even wrote a Tumblr post about it asking people who've read it if it got any better, otherwise I would've quit, but I kept going and it got better in the end but not great.
I ordered the second book and I'm going to continue reading that one, but I seriously hope it will get better, because this first book is nowhere near getting on my favorites list.
I feel like a big chunk of the first book could be left out and I wish the exitement of the last pages would've happened earlier in the book, but still I did love the ending.
3/5 stars from me because I did enjoy about 1/4 of the book which was the ending and I loved Maggie's Shiver series, so I'm keeping my hopes up!
Also, it was a nice subtle book to read during my ACOMAF and Six of Crows reading slump haha!
