LOVED this one. I loved the FMC, the poltergeist, haunted house, FREAKING KARL. I loved it all. Lots of edging, lots of spice, and I think I’m gonna miss Arthur :/

This was a little cringy. It wasn’t bad, i didn’t love it, but it was short and spicy. Just what i was looking for. Its step-bro and his two best friends. I literally laughed out loud when they mentioned the bat boys thing and said they put those wings on even tho they didn’t understand why she was into bats. literally my favorite part lmao
*like the author said tho, it's mostly smut, so it doesn't have much character development/plot*
okay well edit for this review. bc it has come to my attention that in order to rate a book two stars I have to write what I didn't like about it instead of finding something positive to say. (which honestly was difficult to begin with bc there werent that many good things to say about it, but okay. sorry, allow me to correct my mistake.)
first, I have been reading a lot of novellas lately, and I don't think it was as good or on the same level as some of the others I rated 3+ stars. it really just wasn't that good and I don't think it deserved the same rating.
this was very cringy, and I really didn't care for it. I didn't think it was terrible, but the writing was weird and the spice felt a little off. I'm not sure what was missing but it didn't seem to... flow? feel natural? I'm not sure what the word is that I'm looking for. it also read like a self-insert and the author mixed up the names of the characters a few times (in a 58 page book btw. with literally four characters) and I think it should have gone through another round of editing.
I also want to make a note. these reviews are for me and other readers. I hate being negative and writing bad reviews, so usually I rate it what I felt it deserved in my opinion. and then I find something positive to say IF I choose to write a review. especially when the book is relatively new and has few written reviews posted.
I gave this book 2 stars, because it was deserving of 2 stars. I know indie authors put work into their books, even if it's poorly accomplished, so I decided to try and be nice.
I didn't enjoy the book and I find it crazy that I need to justify it. 2 stars.
