Emma is annoying and I don’t believe she became a better wife, mother, sister in law or friend as each Monday repeated for months. Dan, Hattie and the kids deserved better.

The book starts so slow but stay with it. The writing kept me going and was incredible; it has an air of new literary fiction. I didn’t know it was a sapphic novel; this is your graphic sex warning. Part 3 was jaw dropping when the POV becomes Eva’s. The novel wrapped up well.

The identity of Patient X is unexpected. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this book but if you happen to read it you won’t hate it.

YA is so good and complex these days! Recommending to many adults. I’m sure teens will love this.
