The book is about women’s friendships once people move away and move on. It celebrates the daily routines of friends we aren’t aware of like doing dishes, taking kids to school and house maintenance. If you appreciate plants you’ll appreciate this.

Better plot than the first book. The story is more developed and characters are developed.

I couldn’t tell you what this book was about. Trump is elected president so it’s the fall of 2016. Finn is an unreliable narrator, his brother Max is dead. I think it’s just about Finn learning to cope.

I knew this book was going to be a let down. I guess it’s historical fiction and an attempt to highlight a Black and Jewish town. Every page introduces a new character and no one adds to the plot. I’m still unsure if they ever figured out whose bones were buried.
