DIFFERENT FOR BOYS was all over the place. It's one of my least favorite books of Mr. Patrick. Maybe it's because I am aged out or perhaps it was just another basic gay white teen story.

I hated that the cursed words were FUCKING blank out.

The rawness of the character’s voice and the reality of some situations in this story will resonate with many readers. It's a magnificent reminder that kids all need someone to nurture them, support them, guide them, and accept them. The more the story unfolded, the more grateful I was that Rex had his Abuela. While this book isn't a long one, it made a very large impact on me.

 I wish this story was longer. Like the ones with so many chapters. cause this is so good, but it ended quick.

Hell NO! It was way too fast and he has not seen his purple eye YET!!

It just cannot end like thissssss!

 Hugo looked so innonect...who could've known he was a lil sadi 🤣 (▰˘◡˘▰)

Also, the scene with the night and the stars was so beautiful!
