Another gem written by the queen Kennedy Ryan. 5 stars is truly not enough stars to give this book. This is a book I’ll always recommend. The story of Cannon and Neevah is a story of a woman trying to follow her dreams, despite an illness and a man fighting to show the art behind stories untold. It’s also a story that tells readers to fight for a love that is worth it no matter the obstacles, inward or outside.

This is where the mystery beings, why has a mystery relative given her this estate? What secrets do keys unlock, what doors do secrets of the rooms hold?

How are you supposed to react when someone comes into your life telling you the complete opposite of what you’ve heard your entire life. That you’re not disgusting, all dark, a monster and everything in between? Alyce, fights it tooth and nail. The person telling her these things, the person she’s falling for shouldn’t be telling her this. She’s the crown Princess of Briar, fighting her own curse. The question is, can love be the fighting force for them both?

Sometimes no matter what you’ve been through with a person, they’re one of the few who understand you. That is the simple way to explain Shane and Eva’s relationship. Both authors with flourishing careers at one point or another who write about each other. Their fans don’t know it, but they do. Sometimes people come into your life, leave physically but never leave your mind. That is the truth for the both of them. Light in each other’s darkness.

Bridgerton book 1: The TV show gives Simon a lot more depth. I appreciate that a lot. Plus the
rape scene from Daphne <\spoiler> is no where to be found in the show.
