this book felt like if The Hunger Games was written in Gale's POV.

I have to applaud the author for making such different but equally unlikeable characters.
Throughout the entire book, I considered dnf'ing but for some reason I wanted to keep reading despite not liking any of the characters, not caring who died and not fully understanding the plot or plot twist.
Also, after the numerous time jumps, it felt like no time had passed at all so it felt like the story took place over a month or two despite taking place over a year.

I love this series as a whole and it will always hold a special place in my heart. In saying that, I found the pacing of this book to be a little bit slow for my liking and it got a -0.25 for having the ruler of the UK be (trigger warning) Queen Camila. I loved the ending and how the fairytales were incorporated into each of the storylines, I thought everything was tied up nicely.
