Made me feel so English LOL (through the prism of reading it and thinking … Annie you are so french)

I think it’s deeply brave . repetitiveness of her absolute longing p’d me off a bit initially but now I understand as part of the books magic (made me feel less inadequate for how sometimes obsessiveness takes over us all)- also interesting to continue a narrative because of its sparsity - a book so much about nothingness is really striking- although find prolonged descriptions of her dreams bit more of a slog

Wish you could give half stars coz would actually give this a 3.5!!
