I loved that this story was told from the perspective of the murder victims as ghosts, instead of from the point of view of the murderer or the alive victims (before they are killed). It's advertised as a psychological thriller, but in general I didn't find the story to be overly gruesome or scary. There were a couple brief moments of icky-ness in the first third of the book and a bit of high tension towards the end. However, overall it was a very enjoyable story told from a unique POV.
