The disability representation feels liberating. The idea that friends would celebrate accommodations and push the disabled person to wrestle with their internalized ableism feels revelatory. The adventure and mystery are fun, and the enemies to lovers storyline is satisfying.
My biggest concern, which I was able to set aside once the fun story sucked me in: With few exceptions, the good characters are Good and bad characters are Bad which feels YA.

Graphic: Ableism, Bullying, Death, and Violence
Moderate: Death of parent
Minor: Vomit
