I knew I would enjoy this as I loved These Hollow Vows especially as I was used to the worldbuilding and characters. It was a little predictable and I kinda guessed what the twist was halfway through though that didn't stop me from enjoying the storyline and how easy it was to lose myself  in this world again. As we follow the story from Jaslyn and Felicity's PoVs I did find myself preferring Felicity's side of the storyline a lot more and loved her as a character. I'm looking forward to seeing what comes next in the conclusion Beneath These Broken Hearts.


While it's not necessary to read These Hollow Vows  before Beneath These Cursed Stars as this is set three years after the events from that duology I  personally do recommend reading the previous duology first to get the full enjoyment from the start of this new story as it is a direct spinoff and will make things a little easier to understand and follow as it does continue on from the end of the storyline from These Twisted Bonds.
