A well-written young adult fantasy book. The black and white photographs really helped push the story along and give me as the reader a sense of what the author was thinking. The beginning was very interesting and un-put-downable but as I progressed, the story got more and more dense and impossible to follow. But I did love this book overall so I'm giving it four out of five stars. Can't wait to dig into the sequel!
