This was the absolute perfect book about writing for me. It wrapped up in one package the complexity, perseverance, and wonder that writing means to me. I loved how she encouraged writers to be disciplined and to forge ahead even though everything we’ve put down is absolute garbage. There is hope in sticking with it, and I’ll go back time and again to Anne’s encouragement and counsel.
