I put off reading this book for so long as I wasn’t sure if it would live up to the hype but it really really did I couldn’t put it down once I started and I loved every moment. 

The storyline, the banter, the worldbuilding, the magic system and especially the characters gave me everything I love in a Romantasy and so much more! Saeris is a badass of a fmc and I loved how resilient and strong she was of course she had her vulnerability especially when it came to her inner battles of indecisions. Saeris and Kingfisher had the best chemistry and their teasing and banter was brilliant, the slow build tension between them paid off with some really well done spice that was fantastic. Carrion is one of the best side characters ever he had me laughing at so many moments and I just loved everything about him. 

The pacing was amazing and I never found myself bored at any moment there was always something happening within the storyline that it kept me engaged from the start to the end. The plot development connected everything together so well and there were so many twists and turns that I wasnt expecting but they were just so so good, I didn’t see the ending coming and it just makes me so excited for book two!

I also listened to the audiobook at the same time and it’s one of the best I’ve heard in along time the dual narrators were amazing, highly recommend as it added so much more to the enjoyment of this book!
