I highlighted more in this book than I probably have in any other. Every single morsel of this book was perfection. Storm & Briar are E V E R Y T H I N G. I was so sad the closer I got to finishing because I never wanted it to end. I will miss Crimson Ridge so badly until she brings me home again in book 3. Without spoiling anything - I’ll say this: when Storm learns Briar’s “secret”, I found myself bracing myself for his reaction and when all he wanted was for her to trust him and to be a safe space for her and that truly healed something in me. Whew
