The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank

5.0

I can't rate this book because it's not something that I feel should be rated.

The last few entries really started to get to me and I just... this book is so important. I have a lot in my head right now because of this book. A lot of messages. Things I feel I need to do. I wish I was more like Anne. What a wonderful, wonderful girl. I'm heartbroken. Over her, over the whole annexe. Over everything that happened between 1939-1945.
I'm heartbroken that even 70 years later, we live in a world very scarily similar.. and Anne believed that within a century things would be better, peaceful, fair. We would be equals. I'm sorry, Anne, that this world has once again let you down. I hope the next thirty years do change. I hope you were right. In 30 years can we live in a world of happiness, light, equality, love?
