Full Tilt by Emma Scott
4.0
I'll keep this review brief. I wasn't expecting to be an emotional mess after reading this book. I mean, at a certain point I knew what could happen. But the journey this book takes you on is special.
Jonah is a really special guy. His humility and love for his family and Kacey really stood out. The way Emma tied the art of glassblowing into this book was a unique element. I could almost see the installation when it was described - really cool.
Kacey is on the path to self-destruction as a guitarist for a rock band when she meets her limo driver, Jonah. Both of their life situations aren't great. Though, Jonah's optimism and encouragement is the breath that Kacey needs in a life that was strangling her.
This romance is a slow burn. The emotional journey Emma Scott takes you on with these two is beautiful. I was recommending this one to all my friends after I finished it. I got to the last few chapters and didn't know how the characters would go on. ALL IN continues the story and spoiler alert - I enjoyed that one too.
